This weeks Mega Chemist was born in Yugoslavia in 1968, but is a canadian national who now resides in the US. Interestingly he has a BSc. in human biology, though his PhD with Prof. Mark Lautens at Toronto brought him fully into the realm of organic chemistry. The priceless post-doc with Prof. David Evans at Harvard led to him gaining his first academic position in 2000, at an institute where he now holds the John K. Stille Chair. His research is full to bursting with NHCs and rhodium catalysed cycloadditions.
